Plans are now underway for the Yorkshire Bears 2016 Calendar, and we’re scouting for models. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a chiselled Bear God or if you have a face like a bucket of smashed arseholes, The Yorkshire Bears are going to make sure your inner beauty shines through.
Follow in the footsteps of Dame Judi Dench, Sir John Gielgud and Big Ste Woodhead from Bradford (last year’s Mr February), and strike a pose for esteemed theatre, TV and film photographer Bob Workman who’s guaranteed to make you look stunning with a set of photos you can re-use on Growlr for decades to come.
The shoot will take place in Leeds on Saturday 1 August 2015, so if you’re planning on heading along to our Pride Party Weekender and Yorkshire Bears 4th Birthday then you can easily combine the two. This year is going to be mainly studio-based, so no having to get your bingo-wings out in front of crowds of gawping onlookers, being chased across fields by herds of angry cows, or standing on graves while American tourists kick off – we’ve learned those lessons the hard way.
We might go a bit more risqué with the photos this time, but that’s completely down to you and what you feel comfortable with. We’ll make sure your tackle is covered at all times because we don’t want your low-hanging knackers swinging in our faces first thing on a Saturday morning – we’ll save that for the Pride after-party.
If you’re interested in taking part then fill in the application form below and upload a recent photo or two. We’re happy to take submissions from singles, couples or even groups – and we’re hoping to reflect the full membership of Yorkshire Bears in the calendar, so all ages, shapes and sizes are very welcome to apply. If you took part last year and want to do it all over again, we’re fine with that too. As with the last calendar, every single penny raised will be going straight to charity, so what are you waiting for? Register your interest and we’ll get back to you very soon.
If you’re having trouble filling in the form or uploading photos, you can always email us directly.
UPDATE SUNDAY 31 MAY:
We’ve been blown away by the response, so much so that we’ve had to close the process a lot sooner than we’d originally planned. From this point on we’ll be sorting through the forms and we’ll get in touch with all applicants over the next couple of weeks. All being well the calendars themselves will be on sale from the beginning of October, so keep your eyes on the website and the Facebook group for more news later in the year. Big Hugs, the Yorkshire Bears.
