Leeds Pride 2018 and Yorkshire Bears 7th Birthday
August 4, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - August 5, 2018 @ 10:00 pm
Celebrate our 7th Birthday in style with a fabulous weekend of hairy fun and frolics, all timed to coincide with Leeds Pride 2018. We’ve got two days of our usual mix of food, drink, shirts off disco dancing, marching around carrying heavy banners, and all the usual beary merriment. We’re starting off on Saturday 4 August, 6pm sharp, at the Mean Eyed Cat on Merrion Street in Leeds, with free pizzas for all, and cheap drinks with a £1 wristband. At about 9pm we’ll be heading down for the bright lights of Lower Briggate to carry on the gay fun.
On Sunday we’re meeting towards the back of Millennium Square at around midday, just look out for the t-shirts, banners, and massive hangovers. The Pride March begins at 2pm, winding its way through town, and afterwards we hope you’ll join us to quench your thirst in Yorkshire Bears Post-Pride Bear Enclosure. Once again we’re making Leeds Pride a more refined experience, taking over the Mission Nightclub’s VIP Area and Patio transforming it into our very own bear’s den with seating, queue-less toilets, and, drinks offers. For entry to the Bear Enclosure just buy a £1 wristband from one of the group admins in Millennium Square, on the Parade, or come down to the club from around 3pm, (the main Mission entrance is on Heaton’s Court next to the Basement Complex sauna). Once you’ve got your wristband fastened on, you can come and go from our gated bear compound as often you please. At around 6pm we’ll make our way to the fabulous Arch bar, to carry on the partying for as long as you can handle it.
All Yorkshire Bears members and invited guests are welcome, but our parties are fun, friendly and safe environments and we do, as ever, reserve the right to refuse admission.
